Before installing on Windows, make sure your anti-virus definitions are up to date.

There is no malware present in BDJ4.

Be aware that as some of the smaller programs have changed, Windows may mark them incorrectly as malware. If you still get malware notifications from Windows Defender, please let me know, and I will get them cleared again.

If you use some other anti-virus product, I cannot help -- there are too many out there, and many of them do not allow non-subscribers to submit false positives.

Fixed an issue where the starter was not being localized.
The installer now asks for your preferred language.
Adjusted dark theme row highlight color.

Good news. I have hired a couple of professional translators for German (Deutsch) and Spanish (Español). This will probably take several weeks to finish. But German and Spanish BDJ4 users have something to look forward to.

Automated tests were run on:
  • Linux
    • MX Linux 25 [Debian 13] (VLC3 and GStreamer)
  • MacOS
    • MacOS Sequoia (intel) (macports) (VLC3 and MacOS AVPlayer)
    • MacOS Tahoe (apple silicon) (homebrew, macports) (VLC3 and MacOS AVPlayer)
  • Windows
    • Windows 10 (VLC3 and Windows Media Player)

MacOS users, be sure to run the version 24 pre-install script (either Homebrew or MacPorts).

The Linux installation should work on Debian 11, 12 and 13.
