Some of the smaller programs included with 4.17.11 were changed, and trigger Windows Defender threat detection (any small, novel program will get marked as a threat). As always, there is no malware in BDJ4.
I have a false positive submitted to Microsoft. It should be cleared later today. I will update this message when the false positive is cleared.
I will continue to check the installation process over the next several days, watching for false positives as best as I can.
Update: the false positive has been cleared.
Here is the method Microsoft recommends to update the malware definitions in Windows Defender (this method clears any cache on your computer):
Please follow the steps below to clear cached detections and obtain the latest malware definitions.
1. Open command prompt as administrator and change directory to c:\Program Files\Windows Defender
2. Run “MpCmdRun.exe -removedefinitions -dynamicsignatures”
3. Run "MpCmdRun.exe -SignatureUpdate"
