The BPM can be set
1- enter digits directly on the music editor screen & Save
2- from Music manager "Play" - invokes the Player - choose "BPM" and by tapping on the BPM counter screen & Save
3- from Music manager "Edit" - invokes the Music Editor- choose "Play" invokes the Player - choose "BPM" and by tapping on the BPM counter screen & Save

the BPM is saved to the "master list" in all above
In 1 & 3 above, the BPM is saved the MP3 file.


In 2 above the BPM is NOT saved the MP3 file.

After setting the BPM via select-play in the music manager; and BPM-save-exit in the player, you then need to select Save in the music manager.

Changes made in the music manager must be saved with the Save button before exiting.
Notice that after setting the BPM in the music manager, the song select box will be on.
Only those songs that have the select box on will be saved.

I just re-checked this, and it not save the BPM into the MP3 file after hitting Save in the Music Manager.
After changing the BPM (in example 2), and returning to the music manager, it does show the new BPM on the music manager screen for the selected song.
I hit "save" but id does NOT save the new BPM to the MP3 file.
If I just re-select the same song and hit Save again, I noticed that it does save the BPM to the MP3 file?
A simple workaround if one remembers to save twice.

Not sure why my testing didn't catch it before -- I must not have looked carefully enough.
Found the problem. More serious than just BPM. It was saving the old data to the audio file tags.
