Sound Quality from the player

Post by Kenos » Sat Feb 03, 2018 11:56 am

I have just found and installed the Ballroom DJ player. I am currently going through the media files on my PC and assigning dances to them and when playing the files they sound very over driven, almost to the point of distortion, and when played through either VLC of another media player they sound normal. Is there a way to control the volume and tone of the music coming from the player to attempt to improve the sound quality and remove the distorted sound?

Thank you

This is on Windows 10?
I don't know of any sound issues like that.

I will test this on Windows 10 later today using the latest VLC version.
There are several BallroomDJ users who use Windows 10 without any issue.

BallroomDJ sets VLC to 100% volume and uses the computer's master volume
to adjust the volume.

I may have found the issue. I found an equalizer built into my computer with various settings, and it was on the highest one which made the music extremely over driven. I am going to disable it and then reload my music into the player and test it out. Ill let you know what happens.
