Edit Sequences

(Updated 2016-8; BallroomDJ version 3.1.9)

Edit Sequences allows creation of a sequence. A sequence is a list of dances that will repeat over and over again. BallroomDJ playlists can be created to use a sequence to select the dances in the sequence order and the BallroomDJ program will choose the songs based on those dances.

One classic example is Standard Rounds. The sequence of dances will be: Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep and repeat until stopped.

The sequence editor allows a sequence of any length. A sequence can also be used to create the sequence of dances for an entire evening.

Select a dance or dances on the right and select the <-- Select button to add them to the sequence.

Use the Move Up, Remove and Move Down buttons to adjust the sequence. The Move Up and Move Down buttons will repeat if held down.

The dances may also be moved using the up and down keys.

The default list of available dances is set in edit dances. The Show All Dances checkbox will display all available dances.

The Undo and Redo menu selections can be used to undo and redo changes to the sequence.

The Edit menu is used to load a different sequence, start a new sequence, copy the sequence and to discard all changes.
