installation on Ubuntu Linux

Dear members ,

As i'm looking for a ballroom dj software for our dance club, i found this site and was wondering if there is a installation guide for ubuntu Linux.
I'm not a frequent user of Linux, and do not know all the stuff on ubuntu, but i like it very much.

I've already installed a copy of this software on the Ubuntu OS, but there is no start button somewhere.
I need a command or a launch button to start the software. I'm not aware how to start it on the terminal.
I tried to search the internet, but without success.

could someone get me in the right direction to start the software on Ubuntu.

I will also install and test it on a windows machine , but there is a installation guide available.
So this will not be a problem i suppose.

Here are the install instructions for Linux in case you didn't find them already:

These installation instructions are terminal based. You can open a terminal and type these commands in.

Sorry, I did not think about having a start icon for BallroomDJ for Linux.
I will see if I can put that together by some time next week.

For now:
As an example, I have my BallroomDJ installed in $HOME/music-local.
If I use the file navigator to go to my home folder, then select the "music-local" folder.
Then double-click on "ballroomdj.tcl".
It asks me if I want to "Run in Terminal", "Display", "Cancel" or "Run".
Select "Run".

Version 3.3.14 is now available for download. It will now create a desktop icon for Linux (for gnome-style window managers anyways).

I have updated the installation instructions with information on how to install via the GUI.

I will let you know if it works.
