Fantastic.

Slapen/Wachten. Maybe 'Idle'. I'll have to think about a different English phrase that will work.
This one's not a big problem right now. What I really should say to the user is:
"The upgrade process has paused for the moment, but will restart soon in order to finish the upgrade process".
I need to review the computer program and see exactly what it is doing and whether the messages should be
changed.

The work you have put in is amazing. Thanks so much.
Are you willing to do the translations for Dutch as changes are made to the BallroomDJ program?
(that is, be the Dutch language maintainer?)

I don't have any particular plans for any user interface changes any time soon, but sometimes I clean things up and
some text gets added/deleted. And your translation work has pointed out a couple of minor things that could be
cleaned up.

If you want a write up some information for the dutch language for the help file,
I can add that to the help.
And if all is well, do you want me to proceed in proofreading mode to aprove the translations, or are you going to do this?
Please proceed with the proofreading as time permits. I can look up some of the simpler words on google translate
and check the definitions, but I can't do phrases. And of course, as a dutch native speaker, you know the most
appropriate word to use. I'm more than 1/4 Dutch, but no Dutch language in me :) kannitverstan.

The little inconsistencies and other translation issues can be fixed over time.
Sometimes the English I chose isn't always the best. I have to stop and think
like a not-a-computer-programmer and some of the English is still too computer oriented
(like sleeping processes).

I plan on going ahead and releasing BallroomDJ as it is now and I can make minor
releases for any translation fixes. I am going to go ahead and proceed with my
testing process.

It's not easy to find a correct translation for some integrated English words as 'idle'.
I know what it means, but it's hard to translate in 1 word.
Perhaps all these words should be put in a dictionary within the helpfile for explanation, and so the use of words can be kept into the software as is.
But, if you want to change it with another phrase, be my guest. :)

Thanks for your kind words.
You can put me in as the dutch maintainer, as long as i'm available.
Best way is to send me notifications in my mailbox.
kannitverstan.
= "Kan het niet verstaan/begrijpen" :D

Ok, i'll proceed with the proofreading when time permits.

I'm reviewing the translationfile against the software, and found that the word'sequence' was not translated correctly in some of the strings.
I just changed and approved them in crowdin.com
The word sequence will be translated as 'sequentie', which also means: a list in a specific order in Dutch.

Ok, no problem.
I'd like to give a little more time for review, then
I will release a 3.25.0.1 version with updated translations and
including the translated HTML templates.
Perhaps this weekend.

I'll continue to review, and will keep you informed about any changes if they are needed.
I presume a translationfile is not to hard to replace in the software installation, nor if people get it to replace it within the BDJ directory.

You'll hear from me soon.

a) The update database screen has different tasks that are selected in the drop-down. Each of these tasks has explanatory text displayed in the 'update database' screen. The drop-down text should match the explanatory text. e.g., the following do not match each other:

Database heropbouwen / Database vernieuwen: Dit zal de %s database volledig vervangen.

Items that currently do not match:
Rebuild Database
Updated Modified Files from Audio File Tags
Update from iTunes

b) The "Quick Play" label is translated as "snel afspelen", "snel spelen", "quick play" in various places.
It should be a consistent translation.

I'll look into these issues asap.!!
The label for quick play will be translated to a consistent label in Dutch.

I did not translate Quick Player. I kept it as "Quick Player".
I decided to keep it in English, as it is more consistent throughout the program.
And it's not a showstopper for Dutch.
Database heropbouwen / Database vernieuwen: Dit zal de %s database volledig vervangen.
Has been modified to 'heropbouwen' for all strings, and is also consistent in the program.
Updated Modified Files from Audio File Tags
This has been modified to: "Bijwerken van gewijzigde bestanden met audio tags info" for
both the strings.

I looked at the "update database" screen in the software, and it seems not all info is shown.
there are 5 topics to choose from, but "rebuild from w/Logging is not schown on screen with the information.
EN-update database (Med).PNG
EN-update database (Med).PNG (84.4 KiB) Viewed 22584 times
NL-update database (Med).PNG
NL-update database (Med).PNG (90.6 KiB) Viewed 22584 times

I'm still reviewing the translations file in the program.
Probably there will be some more inconsistencies, but i'll modify along the way.
