Some of the smaller programs included with 4.17.11 were changed, and trigger Windows Defender threat detection (any small, novel program will get marked as a threat). As always, there is no malware in BDJ4.

I have a false positive submitted to Microsoft. It should be cleared later today. I will update this message when the false positive is cleared.
I will continue to check the installation process over the next several days, watching for false positives as best as I can.

Update: the false positive has been cleared.

Here is the method Microsoft recommends to update the malware definitions in Windows Defender (this method clears any cache on your computer):

Please follow the steps below to clear cached detections and obtain the latest malware definitions.

1. Open command prompt as administrator and change directory to c:\Program Files\Windows Defender
2. Run “MpCmdRun.exe -removedefinitions -dynamicsignatures”
3. Run "MpCmdRun.exe -SignatureUpdate"

I noticed something odd about BDJ4 on MacOS, so I will be testing MacOS next, see if I can figure out the issues.
If you notice any issues with BDJ4 on any platform, please let me know.

Version 4.17.12 has fixes for light theme colors. It should look much better for light themes.
I also fixed the management window not resizing properly. I had not noticed this problem.

My friend who does Ballroom DJ work has started using BDJ4, and I will probably get more feedback (as opposed to virtually none) for the Windows version of BDJ4 in the future. This will help make BDJ4 better.

I am also going to spend real money on translations for BDJ4. Starting with German (Deutsch). This will be expensive for me -- I can probably only do a couple of translations per year. I will prioritize the translations that are in use the most or are currently in use.

If you want your native language prioritized, please leave a note here on the forums (or use the support message in BDJ4). Any request for a language translation is going to get very high priority.

Version 4.17.14 is released.

This version fixes a bad bug when multiple queues are used in conjunction with the marquee. BDJ4 could lock up, and less significantly, the marquee display could be incorrect.

Version 4.17.13.1 and 4.17.14 fix various localization issues.

I am very pleased to announce that Deutsch (German) and Español (Spanish) have been professionally translated and are released with version 4.17.14. Deutsch and Español users, drop me a note, let me know how it looks.

I don't have a lot of money, I may be able to one or two more professional translations late this year. If you want your language translated, please let me know which language should be next.

I released version 4.18.0 to roll up all the version 4.17.x changes plus a few bug fixes.
But I introduced an installation error. My apologies.

Version 4.18.1 has been released with the fix.
