Voice Announcements

I created some voice announcements using MacOS voices ( I don't know how to save Windows voices into an audio file ).

To use these, unzip the file, and copy the announcement audio files to your music folder.

In BDJ4, go to Manage / Database Update and select Check For New. Select Start.
The announcement audio files must be in the database. They do not need any special settings.

Then close the management window, and go to Configure / Edit Dances. For each dance, select the folder icon next to Announcements, and select the appropriate annoucement audio file in your music folder.

Now go to Configure / Music Queues and turn on Play Announcements.

I created much improved English versions of the voice announcements. Both male and female voices are available.
marimo created the Nederlands voice announcements and pointed me to the website which has much better voices than MacOS has.

The voice announcements are available as .zip files at:

The Nederlands voice announcements have been expanded to include more common dances.
They can be downloaded from:
