Requests
On occasion, a dancer may make a request for a particular dance or song. Or you may actively solicit requests.
Adding a requested song or dance in BDJ4 is easy.
In the player:
If the currently playing song is about to end, you may want to wait until it is finished. When the song finishes, the music queue will be updated, and waiting for the song to finish helps prevent confusion about where a request will be inserted.
First select the position where the request will be inserted into the music queue. In the picture above, the request will be inserted after the current selection, the Waltz. Select the Request tab. Your library of songs will be visible. Select the filter button (the button the red arrow is pointing to).
The filter dialog window will be displayed. You may move this window to wherever you want on your screen.
Select the dance and optionally the dance rating, then select Apply. The request tab's display will be filtered according to the choices you have made. Alternatively, for quick selection, the dance drop-down selector to the right of the filter button may be used to select a dance.
If you want to search for a particular song, enter part of the song name into the Search field, and then select Apply.
Note that any songs that are queued to be played, or have already been played are prefixed with a blue mark. Select the song you want to play, then select the Queue button. Switch back to the Music Queue tab.
Note that any changes to the music queue do not change your song list, sequence or automatic playlist.
You can now move the request up or down, or move other songs in the queue up or down as needed.
